Alright people Thanksgiving is over and the real work begins in AA County Bball!! Got a chance to watch several games on the Big Screen this evening as the NFHS Network was up and operational for several teams last week and tonight! Although these are scrimmage games you do get a chance to see new players and the development of old players as well! Tonight I viewed tape of Glen Burnie, Crofton and North County! Tomorrow I got Meade and several others on tab! I was impressed with Glen Burnie who has a few new pieces! I am going to say right now, that Porter from Glen Burnie can do whatever she wants to do on the court! The kid is a complete package and is well on her way to being POY in AA County again, if she wants it! I was also impressed with Crofton who gave a great performance against Flowers without Cora Shafer. Crofton just looked as a team faster and more determined! Carmichael and Maher appear to have improved their skills and Crofton has added a piece or two over there. Coach Mason is doing his best version of Lee Rogers and staying under the radar, so look out AA County, the Cardinals might steal someone's lunch!! More to come tomorrow!!

Okay, the NFHS Network was not kind to me the last several nights, as I set up the Big Screen and had my Ice Tea ready just to have several School Camera's not function. But what I did see....I liked, especially Chesapeake and Annapolis of all teams!! First let's talk about the surprise that was Annapolis! Folks, there is something happening over there off of Riva Road! Now, let's be clear they are very, very young! I do not have the Roster as of yet, but Coach MJ* (my nickname for him) is going to surprise some people. I totally enjoyed watching #10, #23 and #14 do their best against Bowie High School tonight. And as soon as #11 (Lefty) figures out that HS is a catch and shot game she will also be fun to watch. Now I am not saying that the Panthers are ready to compete with GB, OM or SR....but I am saying that there is some talent there, and if they can stay out of foul trouble, they will not be an easy out for Second Tier Teams! And then there were the Mighty Minions of Chesapeake!! Look, that Back Court for the Cougars is going to cause some real headaches, and I like the three Large Minions that round out that starting line up! But let's face it, Ella Shannon is definitely a Top Ten Impact Player in AA County! No sure if we have any other scrimmages this week....if so I hope everyone has their Network Cameras up and operational. ** Northpoint had its camera up tonight...but they had their Screen down and as a result the camera could not focus and I could not see a thing in the Arundel/North Point scrimmage!
