Okay here we go with some more Pre-Season Player Assessments!
First I will provide what I call my "Up and Comers" Listing. These are underclassmen who are either Sophomores or Juniors who either by their play on JV or Varsity last year displayed talent that could be beneficial to their teams success this year!
Up and Comers:Imani Alfi (Old Mill) - No one will question the athletic ability of Imani...the question this year will be whether she improves on her Basketball IQ!
Jessica Giblin (Severna Park) - Jessica proved through her play in Europe and other places during the Spring and Summer that she can handle the big stage!
Taneisha Clark (Arundel) - Taneisha proved last year to be a force under the basket for Arundel and looks to play a major role in their success this season!
Jay Griffin (Annapolis) - Jay started on Varsity last year as a Freshman and was moved down to JV to gain experience. Her play in Canada this spring proved that she is now ready for prime time.
Hallie Persell (Cheseapeake) - Hallie as one of the few legit big people in the county gained lots of experience during the spring and appears to have continued improvement through the fall.
Rae Muldrow (Meade) - Rae had a monster spring and combined that with a decent summer and fall. Muldrow is a player who can turn heads and will this winter!
Okay that's the "Up and Comers" Listing. But folks let me tell you something, we have an incoming freshman class that is as strong as I have seen it! All of these players could make a Varsity Team somewhere in the County, and some of them are simply off the chain!
Top FreshmanAlexxis Sewell (Meade) - Guard with range and handles....nothing but upside!
Celeste Flynn (Broadneck) - Guard with size, range and handles....again nothing but upside!
Imani Parker (Old Mill) - A pure Point Guard...
....although she will say she can play SG also. Because its Old Mill may stay at JV!
Destiny Galloway (Old Mill) - Guard with range and awareness. Because it is Old Mill may stay on JV!!
Syndey Falcoun (Old Mill) - Legit Big at 6'1" and growing. Because it is Old Mill may stay on JV!!!
Briana White (Old Mill) - Tweener, Guard/Small Forward. Possibly a "Kristie Watkins" type player for Old Mill. Again because its Old Mill may stay on JV!!!!!
There you have it folks....and if you are saying to yourself what the heck is going on at Old Mill, trust me.....everyone who covers Girls BBall in AA County is saying the same thing. This talent thing for Old Mill appears to be never ending!! All I can say is WOW!!!
