TO TEZZY:
Your comment was to big to quote...so I will make a separate reply!
You make some very good points....I guess my frustration boiled over with the number of games that could have been dropped because the seedings for the Regionals were set and nothing after the 20th was going to change that!
Also I was really upset at the Old Mill/Meade JV game when for 3/4 of the game there was one official!!
Now this official...I wish I had gotten his name.....was outstanding!! He did a wonderful job handling two JV's who had some players who would be on the Varsity of a lot of other schools. It's just the fact that he had to do it alone was so frustrating and revealed a real need!
I also agree about the Boys taking priority....but what the heck, it doesn't hurt to complain a little!!
The level of play in the County is a long standing problem...and finances of course prevent the three official consideration. But this year the physical nature of play...concussions, other injuries....gives us a clear indication that where there is smoke there is fire and something needs to be done. What I am not sure!
There is a clip going around of the incident at the SR/Broadneck game. (I tried to post it here, but the media does not match). Most people are focused again on the intentional foul that resulted in a player being ejected. I focused on something that happened just seconds before that! A moving pick...that if it had been called....the follow on foul may not have happened!
Consistency is all anyone wants!!
But Tezzy I love your insight!! You need to comment more often!!
