2017 Keough Classic Fall League🐊🐊
As we concluded our fall league last week, I would be remiss if I did send special thanks to Coach Al for partnering with us this year. It's obvious that you have major influence in girls' basketball in the DMV, which is a great thing. Thank you to DJ and daughtrrvfor your posts, analyses, and pictures on the forum during the League and of course a hugh shout out to Bookie and the Glen Burnie High School family for hosting us this year!!. We are nearing 7,000. To my coaches, players and parents, you all rock! It is because of you that we continue to grow.
My takeaways from watching 8 weeks of basketball in our league (just my opinion):
4A Howard High School is really, really good. They have talent at every position. Catonsville is extremely good. Old Mill guard playmhas range and their center is very legit. South River is building for the future. Next year will be their year. Meade has some great talent and will be a threat in AA County. Severna Park will still be in the mix when all is said and done in March. Western has some good incoming talent. I'm not sure they will be challenged until playoffs. Park dale has great potential to make a deep run in playoffs.
3A Mt. Hebron will be more experienced this year, which will cause problem for opposing teams. River Hill has length and athleticism. Reservoir works hard and will compete each game. Chesapeake-AA has Brooke and Summer. The duo will crest havoc in the county.
2A Glenelg is long, smart, and has one of the best shooters on the area. Oakland Mills have pieces and a coach that will do his best to win now and rebuild the basketball culture at ScorpionNation😎. Marriotts Ridgevand Centennial will be tough this year.
1A Pikesville, Pikesville, Pikesvile! This team will make a lot of noise. Chesapeake-BC will play hard and compete every game. Coppin Academy has a nice backcourt and good role players.
IAAM IND has a few weapons that can get them over the hump this year. Mount de Sales benefited from a few transfers that makes this team loaded and a viable threat to making it back to the championship. St. Vincent Pallotti looks good. They have a hype coach that has the team believing.
Again, I thank you all for your support. We shall see you next year!⛹️♀️⛹️♀️⛹️♀️
