Okay here we go folks.....I have several Rosters in hand, and some teams have engaged in scrimmages, so the season is definitely getting underway! I've got my list of Player to Watch and early indications are some of these young ladies are ready to set the world on fire this Season! But before I list any of the Players, let me give you the breakdown of the Middle Tier Teams in the Public School this season. Just a note, remember they are not in any given order! Middle Tier Teams:Severna Park - Once again starting the Falcons in the Middle Tier, and probably giving Coach Dean some Locker Room Bulletin Board information to beat me up with!!! SP will be returning (7) Seniors and will be looking to Spilker, Kline and Rae Ward to lead on the floor. Junior Center Lena McLaughlin (6'0) will be looked to for inside help. Don't sleep on the Falcons...they had a good push at the end of last year, and could be there again! Broadneck - The Bruins will miss Turner, but Coach Davis will have this team ready to challenge everyone this season. Ty Washington is a Senior this year and still in my opinion a Top Ten Impact Player, which means the Bruins are going to challenge you to the max! If they can get some solid inside play from Jenna Stickle (10th grader) and Julia Aminzadah (Senior) then Broadneck will compete. By the way I still think Claire Flynn is a sleeper and if she has a breakout year...."Kattie Bar the Door". North County - Coach Mangum has finally in my opinion found a group of kids who have totally brought into his system, which means the Knights will be out to hurt a number of teams feelings. Shaefer and Robinson will provide this team with some inside slashing play that will make them difficult to deal with. If they can get some solid inside play and keep several players out of "Concussion Protocol" look for North County to extend their run deeper into the Regional's this year. Arundel - Beware the sleeping Wildcat!!!!!! Coach Lee Rogers is being real quite over there.....and looking at this Roster, I would not be fooled. He returns Crystal Barksdale for her Senior year, who if she can remain healthy can drop twenty or more points on you any given evening. Then there is Arianna Harmon his 5'7" Shooting Guard who can also light it up. Then there is #23 Ayannah Matthews who in my opinion is one of the best athletes I have seen in the County in a long time. If Matthews pulls her game together she is going to be something to watch....but I believe the Wildcats have a Freshman or two who will really be the surprise as this season goes on. Well there you have it....my Middle Tier Selections for AA County Girls Basketball!Rae Ward of Severna ParkTY Washington of Broadneck playing solid Defense Shaefer of North County#15 Harmon of Arundel

Good day on the Eastern Shore for the Annapolis Panthers. I believe the final tally was 3-1. Got a chance to work on some late game stuff and play the second unit a lot.
