Sorry I mistook AAC's projections as actual game results!!!! Considering how accurate he normally is....he was pretty close on his calls last night!! Everyone had the Meade game wrong as the "Killer Bee's" with Devine Benson's return are now a real danger to a lot of teams in the County and they proved that last night in their win over Meade!! Coming off their big win against Crossland, Meade had a very cold shooting night (19-61 - 31%) but all the credit goes to Northeast because they took advantage of that coldness to give Coach Nalley his first win!! Another shake up comes as Jaya Dews (formerly of Glen Burnie) is now at Old Mill giving the Lady Patriots.....four Top Ten Impact Players!!!!! Also apparently Robinson is not available for North County....which will make it harder on North County, but do not sleep on them! All in all except for my miscue on game results....I think we had a good opening night for County Bball!! Devine Benson back at Northeast

What was the score of the old mill game. It wasn’t I. The paper. With Devine back northeast will be a tougher game than people think.

What was the score of the old mill game. It wasn’t I. The paper. With Devine back northeast will be a tougher game than people think. 69-39 was the final score in the Old Mill - Glen Burnie game! Definitely the presence of Benson and the absence of Robinson will make that Lower Tier something to watch!! I am still not ready to move Meade out of the Top Tier....will have to see them next Friday against Old Mill! In the meantime there is going to be some interesting stuff happening in the County! Also keep your eye on Broadnek!! Ty Washington is flat balling over there!! And this Freshman Nicole H. is going to surprise a lot of people....as she must have hit at least (4) 3's last night. By the way, word was that Northeast hit (9) Three's last night against Meade!! It appears the Three Ball is in this year!!!

AA County High School Basketball Early Week Recap!! Okay folks, a few teams were in action last night, and in case you did not get the scores....here they are: Chesapeake over Glenelg Country - 54-50
St. Mary's over Annapolis - 62-52
Broadneck over Severn - 65-58
Hammond over Glen Burnie - 62-39
Arundel over River Hill - 41-38
North County and Great Mills were snowed out!!Chesapeake had a great team effort against a tough Glenelg team with four starters scoring in double digits. Leading Scorer and Team MVP for the evening was Summer Smith who lead her team with 13 points, 8 assist, 7 reb, and 2 steals!! Coach Gray of Chesapeake said referring to the win, "It really was big. They’re a good team. Was great experience getting that kind of win so early in season". I totally agree! Annapolis lost a tough one to St. Mary's. Annapolis Senior Elizabeth Gilman had 15 points 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Sophomore Catherine Gilman also had 15 points for the Panthers. Sophomore Isabella Papaleonti also had 11 points to go with 3 assists and 4 steals. Coach Williams said, " We lost a tough one tonight ... We went down double digits early and cut the deficit to 1 at halftime 24-23. Turnovers, missed layups and hot 3 point shooting made for a disaster of 3rd quarter which saw the us go down 19 again. We played the 4th even at 17 points a piece for a each team. Lost by 10. Tough game for the Gilman sisters playing their former teammates and coaches but they were tough all game and kept us in the contest". Annapolis has nothing to be ashamed of.... as Chuck Miller had just won his 300th the other night. I do believe the Panthers are on the right track and should not be overlooked! Hammond took advantage of a young Glen Burnie team....but Coach Mason of Glen Burnie is working this team hard, and I do believe that work will show fruit before the season is over! All I will say on the Arundel win over River Hill is....Oh Oh!! Finally Broadneck over Severn!! Ty Washington of Broadneck is flat out ballin so far this season. The Bruin PG is averaging 20.5 points a game, but if you want to focus too much attention on her, I warn you that Freshman Nicole Hagopian is dropping 17 a game, so put that in your pipe and smoke it!! Last night Washington had 24 points while Hagopian dropped 15. And teams still need to worry about Claire Flynn who did drop 11 last night. If this three keep it up, Broadneck is going to embarrass me for putting them in the Bottom Tier!! TY Washington - Broadneck
