8 North County They have some solid kids coming back. Krumbaar (sp?) can really fill up a stat sheet. They had another freshman last year that was looking like a nice piece that could develop. The problem with NC is not much depth.
Diddy I like your predictions so far some different teams, something to talk about.

Diddy,
When talking Annapolis vs Arundel let's be reminded that the Legend is still in Gambrills. Not to take anything away from Coach KC (she truly is a great person with endless potential) but last year he lead nearly pulled off the upset when his Lady 'Cats was on the verge of beating OM. With the development of his freshman center and as you mentioned the do-all PG Ms. Roy, Arundel could easily be in that 5th spot or crack the top 4 in my opinion.

You're right Gator about Arundel. I originally planned to do a bottom 4 middle 4 and then top 4 as this is my first go at ranking. I think Arundel and Annapolis have the chance too chip away at the top and knock some one off.
I have heard from a few of the refs that this year the girls will see tougher calls and the hand checking so that will be interesting in how games are effected.

Guys I love all that I have read....and will be relying on most of your imput as I make my selections.....which I am still not ready to do!! But I have started to make my schedule....and having looked at the early season schedules a couple of things have jumped out at me.....by 19 Dec. we will have a good look at how things are going to break out in the south! That's right....by the close of business on the 19th Arundel, SP and SR would have all played each other and someone is going to come up short!! In the North Old Mill and Meade dance around each other until January, but the South continues to butcher their young until mid-January. As for the IAAM which I will also cover this year....all the IAAM County teams will play public teams by Mid-January....with one of the most notable being Meade playing Spalding. Man there are going to be some early fireworks this year!!

Chesapeake's incoming freshman is lazy and doesn't play any defense. well be interesting to see if she plays team ball and if she makes it to practices (heard that was an issue when she played for Lake Shore) They will have no guards to get her the ball so she will have to do everything and get frustrated easily. As for the post player did she see anytime playing AAU? That will make the world of difference. I don't see Chesapeake being as high as 8 like diddy says.
The nice thing about this year is there is going to be a group of teams at the top South River, Old Mill, Severna Park, Meade and Annapolis (with two guards transferring from Sou River) hopefully it will be a nice competitive year at the top with those teams it's been a long time in Anne Arundel County with having parity.
