Best Wishes to Coach Kil.....she was a true force in AA County BBall for many years! I cannot say that I am happy about the way this was handled, there is a way these things can be done that allow everyone to appear to conduct themselves with a degree of class! The person who has to follow Coach Kil will have a lot of things to deal with, the most important of which is the image of someone other than Coach Kil on the Southern sideline. I have reason to believe we have not heard the last of Coach Kil! On another note....I am sick as a dog....and this is not the way I had planned to end my 2014-15 Season. I missed the County Al-Star game on Wednesday and may miss the Senior Shootout at BCC tomorrow! Recommend you guys get out to see the Shootout....we have 8 confirmed players performing tomorrow!

Guys as the 2014-15 Season comes to an end....I think we can all agree that AA County Basketball had a great year! One team in the State Semi-Finals, a number of kids invited to Post Season Play. All the remains is the final All Metro Listings. I will Post the 695hoops All Met Listing as soon as I get it. The Coaches All Conference Team for AA County is out if I am not mistaken. As we head into the AAU Season....I will be Flyfishing a lot more this year, so hopefully someone will start an AAU Thread and let me add a little here or there. Anyway, as so as I get the ALL Met listing I will post it!

Well guys its time for my final comments of the year! To say the least, this has been one heck of a 2014-2015 Basketball Season. We had some unbelievable play this year and the future looks bright for AA County basketball. We had 8 players accepted in the end of season 695hoops Senior Shootout, with 7 players actually playing...Daja Burnett was ill the day of the game! We also got the 695hoops ALL Met List last week and we had 4 players honored: Alexis Jackson and Jordan Hawkins made First Team and Kennedi Colcough and Sam Khrumbarr made Honorable Mention! The fact that all of them were members of the 1,000 point club contributed greatly to their selection. Before I close I again would like to thank Coach Kilpatrick for her 39 years of service to AA County Girls Basketball. And I sincerely hope the School will provide an appropriate farewell for this outstanding Coach, and they clearly could have handled the situation a bit better. And finally, thanks to all of you who contributed to this thread this year.....when I signed on today we were at 22,739 views!! It was your willingness to come here visit and contribute that resulted in our kids getting the recognition that they deserved....again thank you! As is my custom I will be doing a lot of Fly Fishing this spring and will come back to cover Summer Basketball....some of the Summer Leagues are already seeking teams....but I will start a AAU Thread today for those who want to track and discuss AAU issues in the County! But for the most part this is good bye from me.....until the Summer League Season!
